9 Personal Year: October is a 1 Personal Month For You

There’s light at the end of the tunnel, but it can still feel as though you’re stumbling through the dark. Trust will be a big theme throughout this month. Trust in the Universe, trust in your gut – and most importantly – trust in yourself.

Get ready to do some Spring cleaning as you clean up and head into a new season of your life. Make sure that you tie up as many loose ends as you can, as the less you have to contend with, the more clarity you’ll feel during this transitional month. Expect a new interest to pop up around October 7th, which can bring with it an incredible new development, along with a few more potential opportunities surfacing between October 9th and 27th.

There’s a sense of anticipation in the air as the finish line is in sight. You may gain some clarity around certain aspects of your life during this month, but make sure you take the 9 Personal Year all the way to the finish line. It may also be time to say sayonara to a few things, including that soul-crushing job, relationship, or bad habit (including negative self-talk) that you’ve been needing to kick.

A 9 Personal Year says: “nothing lasts forever, including those devasting moments.” So, letting go and surrendering will be another big theme during this month. However, October is also giving you a taste of what you can expect in the new year with a month that is filled with forwarding momentum and sprinkled with a bit of optimism, which is particularly refreshing during a year that’s been a bit tough at times.

Make the most of this month as you learn to embrace the energy that a 1 Personal Year is getting ready to bring into your life. You’re getting ready for a year filled with plenty of adventure, business opportunities, and forward movement!

8 Personal Year – October is a  9 Personal Month For You

It’s the beginning of the end, in a sense. The 8 Personal Year is the first year of a three-year cycle, and you’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Or at least the light that’s ushering you towards the second year of this monumental transition. This year has been setting the groundwork for what’s to come and has most certainly challenged you to step into your power while building your sense of financial security.

Endings and completions are two words that can be used to describe this month as you “let go” and hand things off to the universe to work their magic. I know it sounds cliché but this month in a sense is the dress rehearsal for a play titled “Surrender and Embrace the Unexpected” that you will star in, in 2022.

A conclusion to things may come about on October 9th and 27th, but the 18th will be a significant time for letting go of something well-established in your life as you embrace new possibilities. This time is similar to a crab letting go of a shell its outgrown as it steps into something bigger and better. This final transition or change can show up in your work (e.g., colleagues moving on) or love life as you embrace the lessons learned throughout this year, shifting your perspective and sense of self.

While the energy that surrounds this year has focused on finances, digging a little deeper reveals a theme that’s a bit more intimate, which puts the spotlight on how we view ourselves, our worth, and how we can gain a healthy sense of power within our lives. The energy of the number 9 is also humanitarian in nature. This can take the form of supporting friends or giving back to a cause you are passionate about. Either will produce a very rewarding experience for you.

You’ve spent a large portion of this year pushing to manifest the successes that you deserve. Congratulate yourself! It can be pretty easy to move on to the next phase of our lives without stopping to celebrate the victories – no matter how small. As you look towards 2022 and the end of this 9-year cycle, take a moment to reflect on your accomplishments and give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.

7 Personal Year – October is a 8 Personal Month For You

7 Personal Year can feel a bit floaty, which is attributed to the more introspective aspects of the year. However, October is here to shake things up as you take a moment to ground yourself into reality and prepare to usher in the new year.

You’ve spent a good portion of 2021 sitting on the metaphorical mountain and contemplating the meaning of life, or in this case, figuring out your inner landscape and how to navigate it. Now, you’re realigning yourself with your external world and building on the foundation you’ve created for yourself this year.

October is radiating with the energy of number 8, which takes on a financial focus and is an energy that will carry you through 2022. Make sure you pay attention to what shows up for you during this time, as your thoughts turn to money and finances, all while defining what success means to you.

With 8 Personal Year at your doorstep, things will start to pick up in terms of business. However, the new year will see things truly take flight, so expect certain business endeavors to be highlighted during this time.

The energy that’s ushered in during the month of October will ask you to step into your power. You can expect plenty of issues to arise around the theme of empowerment and where you may be selling yourself short. Perhaps you play small when it comes to your skills in the workplace, or you don’t truly feel your worth within your relationships. You’ll find yourself struggling with these thoughts and questions during October.

You’ve spent most of the year reflecting on life’s big questions as you navigate your internal world. However, from October 28th, you’ll start to notice a few endings or adjustments, either in your career or your personal life, as the inkling of something new starts to manifest or a transition starts to take hold. This month is giving you a sample of what you can expect to experience in your 8 Personal Year as you take on the themes of empowerment and finances.

It’s time to put into practice what you’ve been learning all year, and as the new year starts to approach, it’s time to get comfortable with these themes. Don’t abandon the inner work you have done all year once things begin to pick up. Trust yourself and know your power, because 2022 has a lot in store for you!

6 Personal Year – November is a 8 Personal Month For You

“Let’s get down to business,” says November as you take things up a notch and focus on business and personal empowerment. November is also your second 8 Personal Month of the year with the first having taken place in February, so take a moment to think back on how you felt and what issues arose … anything similar this month?

Business is the word of the month, which can take the form of literal dealings within your business or the business of family and relationships. You may find yourself grabbing hold of the wheel as you take control of your life in a more intense manner. You may even find yourself having an intense pull to dig a little deeper into the matter of family as you take a closer look at karma, patterns of behavior, and ancestry, finding new methods of understanding these topics. Don’t be too surprised if you find yourself researching past-life regression, hypnotherapy, or purchasing juicy new books that may help you better understand these topics.

While 6 Personal Year has seen you focus on family this year, money may have your attention during the month of November. Creativity has also been a big one this year, so hopefully, you’ve had a chance to indulge your creative side.

The energetic combination of 6 and 8 is providing you with the necessary support to make things happen. This can show up as creating something from nothing or breathing life into something that was once worthless and adding value to it. While family and love have been the priority, you may also have felt a need to sit down and enjoy time alone as you nurture and make yourself a priority.

Keep this in mind as you get ready to brace yourself for a challenging month that will ask you to get your finances in order and embrace your empowered identity within the domestic and relationship arena.

5 Personal Year – October is a 6 Personal Month For You

They say home is where the heart is, and that appears to be a running theme throughout October as you turn your attention to home-based responsibilities and relationships. This can manifest as a sense of urgency or a distinct desire to focus on your home life.

Irrespective of how it presents itself, you’ll instinctively be ramping up your efforts to nurture relationships and focus on your duties and responsibilities during this time. The energy of number 5 is playful, so you may find yourself fighting against this need to play versus nourishing those in your intimate circle.

The month of October is influenced by the number 6, which supports domestic life and acceptance. This is particularly important as you learn to step away from judgment and take on the energy of supporting instead. Along with taking on your fair share of the responsibility – however, that may manifest in your life.

While your home environment and a sense of duty take center stage, so does love. Budding romance may be on the horizon during this month, particularly during the week of October 14th. However, this is a great time to focus on relationships in general, particularly family.

The energy of your 5 Personal Year may feel contradictory to the love-prone energy of number 6, a number which October is resonating with; however, you need to learn how to integrate these two very different energies during this time. If commitment has been on your mind lately, especially during this personal year of exploration and experimentation, this month is the perfect time to enter a more serious commitment. Perhaps this looks like someone you’ve been casually dating for a while. Expect to feel a significant shift during October as you get more serious.

Home and love are on the cards this month. It’s also a great time to take care of a few home-related things that you’ve been putting off, whether that be repairs or updates.

4 Personal Year – October is a 5 Personal Month For You

If 4 Personal Year is all about laying foundations, battening the hatches, and setting play aside to focus on work, then this time of the year can feel like a build-up to something. Basically, you’re feeling a bit stir-crazy, and you’re ready to let your hair down and have some fun.

The month of October is resonating with the energy of number 5 – a fun-loving and freedom-seeking number. However, this can feel a bit weird when compared to 4’s energy, which is all about structure and focus. While it may feel like a recipe for disaster, it’s actually the ingredients for a beautiful cake that will ensure a fruitful new year as you ask yourself the question: “what does freedom mean to me?” Remember, the theme for 2022 is freedom, so this question is a biggie.

There’s no question that this year may feel like your world has been shaken up and you’re just trying to keep your balance, especially after a year that’s been filled with anxiety and uncertainty. This “shake-up” may be more evident in your career, health, or any area of your life where you’ve laid a foundation to propel you into the new year.

October 9th or 18th will see a few of your endeavors move forward, but make sure you pay close attention to the progress of these projects. You may feel a bit all over the place this month, especially around October 7th and 25th, but remedy this by making sure that you prioritize and sprinkle your to-do list with a little fun. There’s nothing wrong with taking a break as you indulge in new people and adventure!

Because you’ve prioritized hard work for the last few months, certain aspects of your life may have fallen to the wayside. Grab the energy of this month and run with it as you spend some time nourishing your soul and body, particularly the latter. Cut yourself some slack on the work front this month but don’t neglect the needs of your physical body.

3 Personal Year: October is a 4 Personal Month For You

The number 4 is all about structure and getting down to business, and this month is resonating with this energy. The month of October is about creating and putting organized structures in place that will make your life easier – both in your personal and professional life.

Emotions have been a running theme throughout October, but this is especially evident when it comes to the 3 Personal Year, as you resonate with the energy of what this year is all about: expanding your inner world, having fun, and engaging with new subjects matters. It’s about expanding on various levels, but most importantly, it’s about discovering the weaker aspects of how you communicate, especially when it comes to expressing yourself emotionally.

The last 18-months have been a rollercoaster ride, and there’s no question that a lot of us have dipped in and out of a stressful or depressive state. However, this is a particular characteristic of Year 3, so don’t feel ashamed of this feeling. Allow your emotions to flow freely, embracing them like an old friend and seeking support from those around you when you need it. It’s okay to ask for help, don’t isolate yourself during this time as it will do more harm than good.

The smallest pebble in your path may feel like a giant boulder you need to climb but try not to allow these obstacles to derail you right now. As with everything in life, the way you react to a particular situation is cause for analysis, especially this month which resonates with the energy of number 4. Do you handle a difficult situation with grace or with anger? Taking a closer look at how you deal with matters during this time will be crucial, as number 4 is all about limitations and restrictions that require patience and attention when attempting to get to the other side.

While you may be met with moments of frustration, don’t forget that this year is about having fun and enjoying a few social moments as the new year will likely force you to place your social life on the back burner as a discipline and hard work come to the forefront.

You’ll be thinking about finances around October 18th. The month may also bring pressure from family members, as they bring an energy of need and interference into your life during this time, but remember to set clear boundaries – and stick to them!

This month is about structure, so quell the need to be impulsive as you take the time to set your goals and intentions for your future. Dream big and devote yourself to creating clear step-by-step actions that will allow you to achieve your heart’s desire.

2 Personal Year- October is a 3 Personal Month For You

Your emotional life comes under the microscope in the month of October as you continue learning to understand yourself and practice exerting those healthy boundaries. Learning to say no and yes when needed is never easy, but this year’s theme has been all about learning what works for you.

While being social has taken a bit of a backseat thanks to a global pandemic, there may be a desire to get out there and socialize, making this month all the more fun and buzzing with social activity. However, social meets emotional in October as the energy of this month presents you with opportunities to deepen your understanding of yourself and those around you.

Patience is a word that defines Personal Year 2. However, as you get ready for what lies ahead, especially in the creative Year 3, it can be easy to let go of your composure and the emotional self-mastery you’ve learned throughout this year. It’s important to keep your balance during this time, tapping into the magic of the Universe by setting intentions. This is a particularly magnetic time, as you lay the foundation for manifestations to come through in the coming year.

It’s a great time for introspection and digging a bit deeper as you get to know yourself inside and out. This will be particularly important as you enter the new year, which will focus on expanding and exploring the fun side of life.

If you’ve tapped into the energy of your 2 Personal Year, you will have made some amazing connections throughout the year. Whether personal or business, these relationships will move you forward and blossom into something that will take you to the next level. When it comes to business, it could be someone who is seriously invested in your talents. While in love, it can manifest as someone who wants to make the commitment to the next level. Either way, it’s all pretty exciting.

Emotions and self-improvement go hand-in-hand during October, making it the perfect time to put those emotions on stage as you work on staying in your power and creating a more authentic you.

An example of this could be your partner expressing certain aspects of the relationship that makes them unhappy. This is not the time to blow up, but to take a moment to listen and communicate in a way that’s aligned with your truth. No matter the situation, it will manifest as a confrontation that needs a different response that’s outside of the norm.

A few opportunities in your career may present themselves around October 11th, but again, patience is the key as it may take a few more months before any obvious results show up or before you can get involved. Don’t be shy – mingle! Around October 18th or 20th is the perfect time to meet a few new faces and do a few things that are not the usual – embrace it!

1 Personal Year- October is a 2 Personal Month For You

The month of October is all about ushering in a fresh and new way of doing things, with the keywords being: slow down, reflect and reset, but not forgetting to set those priorities.

While the end of the year is fast approaching, the month of October is resonating with some serious January energy. It may take you a minute, but it will be helpful to ponder everything that was happening in the first month of the year. Reflect on how this time around, you may be offered a chance to level up as you walk through a very similar experience this month.

Reflection and introspection will be your two best friends this month as you integrate the lessons and opportunities that will come your way during this time. While a 1 Personal Year often holds the energy of dashing to the finish line as you attempt to juggle errands and life in general, this is very much a time to pause and take a minute to enjoy the moment. Whether you want to or not, this month will stop you in your tracks, forcing you to stop for gas and adjust your GPS before you can get back onto the highway again.

Warning: October’s energy will feel much different than last months. Why? Because September was your peak month for the underlying energy of your 1 Personal year; which is all about ushering in new beginnings and managing all the work that must be done. Expect emotions to be heightened during October but embrace the change of pace. This could leave you feeling as though you’ve been hit by an emotional tidal wave that’s come out of nowhere, especially after a year filled with getting things done but remember that it’s okay to feel emotionally sensitive and responsive during this time – it’s all part of being human!

That emotional tidal wave may have you shifting your perspective and heading towards personal junctures that will inevitably lead to revelations that will take you in a new direction. It’s all in the name of integration, as your internal world (your soul and emotions) finally catches up with your external world, transforming you into a more complete and authentic version of Self. What’s growth without a little emotional upheaval, right?

Despite a month that feels like you’ll need to recalibrate and adjust your course, you’ll need to slow down first. The mad dash of the first few months will continue well into the first week of October but will slow down as the month progresses. If you’ve started any ventures, don’t be surprised if you experience a few delays on or around October 9th. While you may anticipate a few of them, expect a few surprises around October 18th.

October is also a month when relationships come into focus. Spend time with friends, nourishing these relationships as you take the opportunity to be social. Along with friendships, this could also be a month to realign your partnerships, get stuck into networking, or anything that involves team-building.

Anything that nourishes your soul with the intent of slowing down and taking a minute to yourself is a wonderful way to honor this time, along with embracing the flurry of emotions that may bubble to the surface.

There are certain laws that govern the Universe. When we learn to understand these laws, we can use them to our advantage. Hermes Trismegistus sought to explain these laws and how they could be applied to our lives. This need to understand birthed the seven hermetic principles – the foundational principles of our reality. Here’s a look at these laws and how they can be applied:

What are the Seven Hermetic Principles?

In short, the seven principles were based on the hermetic tradition that dates back to the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D. They were drafted by the famed Hellenistic master, Hermes Trismegistus, who composed a series of letters that became known as the Corpus Hermetica. He was also the author of the Emerald Tablet.

He is often associated with the god of wisdom in both Greek and Egyptian cultures (the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth), and his work went on to influence both ancient cultures. Whether Trismegistus actually existed is still up for debate, but he is said to have lived for thousands of years and is considered a great master of the Universe.

As the years went by, the seven hermetic principles were passed down by word-of-mouth before it was assembled into a book called The Kybalion, which was written by “The Three Initiates.” These powerful laws are some of the oldest and influential systems of thinking and help understand the Universe. It can broaden your horizons and create a more meaningful life. Here is a deeper look at the seven principles:

The Principle of Mentalism

“The All is Mind; the Universe is Mental.”

—The Kybalion

The premise for the first principle is that “all is mind”, and that includes the Universe. If you believe that God or Source is consciousness, then the Universe is a manifestation of God’s thoughts and is, therefore, a projection of his mind. If you’re a big believer in manifestation, then you would know that this idea is exactly the same as the “our thoughts create our reality” concept. Through this principle, we can utilize the power of our minds, manifesting our desires and shaping our lives.

Applying this principle:

Take a moment to notice your thoughts. How does it influence your emotional or mental state? When we begin to understand that our thoughts control how we feel, the meals that we decide to eat, or the places we choose to visit, we realize the impact that it has on our lives. Learning to control your thoughts is essential to harnessing the power of this principle, and meditation is an excellent way to train your mind.

The Principle of Correspondence

“As above, so below; as below, so above.”

—The Kybalion

The second principle is closely interlinked with the principle of mentalism and reiterates that what happens in our minds and thoughts will manifest into our reality. It describes the various planes of existence and learning to understand this principle allows you to find solutions to problems by considering the layer above and below the situation. Through this examination, you can determine the pattern and shadow of what lies between “above” and “below.”

Applying this principle:

To apply this principle, you will first need to fully grasp the connection between the physical plane, ourselves, the Universe, our thoughts, and actions. Until you understand that this is all interwoven, like a beautiful cosmic tapestry, you will not be able to recognize and break patterns that hold us back from our full potential. However, once we learn that how we interact with life and the Universe does affect us, we can start living in alignment with our highest good and feel connected to everything around us.

The Principle of Vibration

“Nothing rests; Everything moves; Everything vibrates.”

—The Kybalion

Have you ever felt a bad “vibe” from someone? That’s because everything in the universe moves at a certain frequency. This principle embraces the concept that “everything vibrates” and is constantly in motion – an idea that has been backed up by Science. Our energy and spirit are in varying degrees of vibration, and once you begin to understand the power of this frequency or vibration, you will have influence over your world.

Applying this principle:

The aim is to vibrate at a higher frequency, which may look different to everyone. When taking advantage of this principle, you’ll need to flow into a state of ease by thinking and doing things that leave you feeling amazing. This will allow you to vibrate at a higher frequency, which is what you want.

The Principle of Polarity

“Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.”

—The Kybalion

The fourth principle teaches us that everything is in a state of duality and that “everything has two poles.” According to this principle, there are two poles in everything. Opposites are essentially just two extremes of the same thing/ For example, hot and cold are both the same – temperature. Spiritual energy vibrates at a higher frequency, so much so that our physical senses cannot observe it. However, physical matter and spiritual energies are the same things.

Applying this principle:

In Hermeticism, this principle is important as it proposes that we can change the degree of our emotion to one that best suits our needs. However, this is easier said than done, and it takes considerable willpower. Low vibrational emotions, such as anger’s only objective is to pull us down. Acknowledge this emotion, sit with it, and transform it into an emotion that better serves you, such as love and understanding.

The Principle of Rhythm

“Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.”

—The Kybalion

The principle of Polarity teaches us that there are always two poles, but through the fifth principle, we begin to understand that there is movement between these poles. There is an ebb and flow, a flow that is constant and always changing. Nothing stands still. Once we acknowledge that there is a rhythm within our life and the Universe, we can begin to work with this motion instead of against it.

Applying this principle:

The Universe and our world are always changing, and nothing stays the same. When we grasp this, we can create dramatic shifts when it comes to our emotional well-being. While the ultimate goal within Hermetism is to transcend duality, the baby step version of this is simply becoming aware of our emotional state while using polarity and rhythm. By doing this, we can create a comfortable flow or rhythm that allows us to enjoy the natural changes that exist in life.

The Principle of Cause and Effect

“Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; chance is but a name for law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law.”

—The Kybalion

The basis of this principle is simple – “nothing happens without a reason” or by chance. Every cause has an effect, and every effect has its cause. A great question to ask yourself is this: are you the cause or the effect? At the root of this powerful teaching is the understanding that we need to acknowledge the effects of our thoughts and behavior and what we can do to change them in order to bring about greater effects in our lives. It is your choice to consciously rise above and become your own Cause, liberating yourself from the Effect of others and the situations you find yourself in.

Applying this principle:

The ideal question to ask when you find yourself stuck in a situation you’re unhappy with is: “what was the cause?” We are often reactionary beings. We cannot help but react to people and things around us, but what if we could? Take a moment to notice what you’re reacting to. Can you change the circumstances? When we step off this reactionary path and create what it is we would like to experience, we feel less like a victim and more like an empowered badass. For example, if you’d like to be a better writer, what are the steps you should take to achieve this desire?

The Principle of Gender

“Gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principles; Gender manifests on all planes.”

—The Kybalion

According to the seventh principle, the masculine and feminine exist in all things, and we as spiritual beings embody both these energies. This means that the masculine and feminine not only exist in the physical plane but the mental and spiritual as well. There can be no creation without these two energies (as within the physical plane), and when both of these are balanced, applying all seven principles becomes a lot easier.

Applying this principle:

A balance needs to be achieved between these two energies. While it’s never easy, our goal is to find the middle ground between the future-driven masculine and the present feminine. When we learn to find balance within ourselves, we are better equipped to harness the power of these principles.

These principles have the power to transform your life, allowing you to master your mind in the process. However, this takes time and patience before you can fully understand and integrate them into your daily life.
